Proposed Program for The Bright Group

BACKGROUND

The current visit is a follow-up from a visit by a delegation from KAPE-NGS staff to the BFITS Headquarters in Bangkok in December 2022. The purpose of the visit at that time was to better understand the nature of the technical support and curriculum framework used by BFITS in selected Thai schools. KAPE became aware of the BFITS Program during an exposure visit by Cambodian educators to Buriram Province in July 2022. KAPE is interested in the BFITS program for two reasons: 1) There may be a possibility for partnership with the New Generation Schools Network to support STEM Education; 2) There may be the possibility for support to recent efforts to expand New Generation Schools to the Lao PDR. A team from BFITS has now agreed to visit the New Generation School Program in Phnom Penh at Preah Sisovath HS, which is the oldest school in Cambodia and also one of the premiere NGS sites in the country. The program for the visit is provided below.
