Launching Ceremony on Khmer Digital Literacy Resource Pack

       Phnom Penh: The Ministry of Education Youth, and Sports, Meta, and KAPE have teamed up to officially launch the  Khmer Digital Literacy Program (KDLP) resource pack for use in the NGS schools, which was presided over by Lok Chumteav Kim Sethany Secretary of State of the Ministry of Education Youth and Sports.
       Lok Chumteav stated that in the Royal Government of the 7th legislature under the leadership of His Majesty the King Hun Manet, the education sector is considered one of the priority areas of the Royal Government of Cambodia. Her Excellency highly appreciated and congratulated the team under the support of Meta for achieving the job And leading to the official launch of this Khmer Digital Literacy Training Document as part of the promotion of digital education in Cambodia.
      In addition, Mr. Sao Vanna, Executive Director of KAPE, also thanked for the joint efforts of the project’s technical team and teachers from the six New Generation Schools. In this era of Industrial Revolution 4.0, the use of ICT and digital technologies in education is very important for promoting digital education and STEM education. To contribute significantly to responding to the policies and directions of Cambodia’s digital economy in the future. In the past, KAPE and the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports have collaborated to document training on new teaching methods and gaming technologies to promote digital education and STEM education. Through the New Generation School project and other projects as well. The collaboration between KAPE, Meta and the Information Technology Department of the Ministry of Education Youth and Sports has made a significant contribution to education reform towards digital education.
The purpose of the event was to officially launch the Khmer Digital Literacy Resource Pack in Cambodia and the benefits of this training document for teachers and students in the New Generation Schools, enhancing good cooperation between Meta, the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports and KAPE. To improve digital learning among students in the new generation school framework. This is an important contribution to digital education in Cambodia and promotes the development of digital skills at the lower secondary and tertiary levels in the future. The event was attended by about 50 people from the Ministry of Education Youth and Sports, the technical team, school principals and 12 trainers, representatives of Meta and KAPE.
